A Web site hosting account that supports PHP version 4 is required. The hosting service provider must also supply access to a supported SQL database server (typically MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Solid.)

The hosting service must provide access to an SSL server for secure Internet transactions. It must be possible to install FishCart secure site pages into the SSL hosting environment. A Digital Certificate is required, either under your own domain name or using a shared certificate provided by your hosting service.

For low to medium shipping volume e-commerce sites, or for hosting accounts that do not provide access to a Java Server Page (JSP) engine such as Apache Tomcat or similar, the v.U PHP extentions must be purchased and installed with FishCart v.3. In addition, a subscription to FishNet's v.U JSP hosting service is required. This service provides the necessary gateway to directly access the UPS information servers.

For high volume e-commerce sites with access to both PHP version 4 and JSP hosting environments, it may be advantageous to install the complete v.U PHP/JSP software system onto your local servers. In this case a subscription to FishNet's v.u JSP hosting is not required.

For the v.U PHP/JSP solution, you may wish to consider FishNet's annual JSP software maintenance fee. UPS updates their server interfaces from time to time, which may require changes in the v.U software to support the UPS changes. An annual support contract can help you manage this expense.

FishNet v.U Service Pricing Example

This service example includes installation service onto FishNet servers of a current release of FishCart. The site will be installed into a Web page template supplied by the customer to integrate the FishCart pages with the rest of the customer's Web site. This service does not include modification or customization services to the installed FishCart or entering the customer's products or other database content requirements. The JSP hosting fees are included in the monthly price.
